Strawberry Mousse : Colorful dessert for the kids and for the kid in you

Ok, so we are at the epic 50th Month of Blogging Marathon. And here is where I am going to resume my blogging after a brief hibernation. I was a part of the celebrations for 50th month blogging marathon. and boy it did inspire me to be very regular at blogging, to plan my posts and so on. I had planned two other dishes for this week, Colorful dishes for Kids. But when I saw these pictures, Could not let them go without putting them on my blog asap. Thank you Karan for the lovely pictures.

To me food has to be colorful and appealing to the eyes as much as it to the stomach. This is a simple and easy strawberry mousse that I made during our meet, which is a feast to the eyes as well as to the tummy.

Ingredients

Strawberry - 2 cups
Fresh Cream - 2 cups ( whipped )
Sugar - 1 tbsp.
Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Mint Leaves - for garnish

Method

Puree strawberry with a little sugar and lemon juice
Spoon half of the puree into small glasses and let it cool in the refrigerator
Mix the other half of strawberry puree with fresh whipped cream and spoon it over the puree
Garnish with a slice of strawberry and mint leaf.

Serve chilled.

It sure was a hit amongst my group.

Chennai Food Guide - A Decade to Celebrate

What I've enjoyed most, though, is meeting people who have a real interest in food and sharing ideas with them. Good food is a global thing and I find that there is always something new and amazing to learn - I love it! - Jamie Oliver.

These words exactly resonate the memories and happiness that I have got from Chennai Food Guide Group. Foodies who can go to any distance to taste good food, and to try any recipe that is been shared.

My journey with this fabulous group started three years back, ever since it has helped me enrich my knowledge on various cuisines and encouraged me to try new recipes. In fact, my biryani is liked by everyone who has had it. This happened after I had attended a biryani workshop conducted by CFG, which gave me confidence to venture into that space. Like wise there has been a lot of workshops that had taught me a lot of things with respect to cooking

CFG is an integral part of my life and my venture into the food industry. As a blogger I got the opportunity to interact with many renowned chefs and restaurateurs. I met some of my best buddies in life in this wonderful forum. Not sure what I will do without them. . They are like family to me.

I won the Super Chef title, throughout that competition. The encouragement and support that I got from this forum was immense. Even when I lost confidence in myself, the good folks in this forum did not. They kept pushing me to do my best no matter what. When I stood on the dais and got the first place, I could not thank them less.

It is a wonderful place to learn new things, to nurture the talent you have and share your experiences.

Come join the fun and experience what I have had all these three years
